Professional Engineer (PE) – Civil Land Development

Bailey Engineering | Eagle, Idaho

Land development is the only work we do.

Bailey Engineering is a land development–focused civil engineering firm serving experienced developers across the Treasure Valley. Land development is the only work we do.

We are structured, process-driven, and deadline-focused. Our clients expect clarity and execution — and so do we.

We are seeking a Professional Engineer who wants real ownership, high standards, and long-term opportunity inside a firm built on accountability.

This is not a volume-production seat. It is a leadership seat.

What You Would Own

You would lead subdivision and civil land development projects from concept through approval and construction support.

That means:

  • Managing grading, drainage, utility, and roadway design
  • Coordinating with Survey, Operations, and agencies
  • Communicating directly with developer clients
  • Managing deadlines and deliverables
  • Preventing problems instead of reacting to them

At Bailey, "Own It" means you know what is due, who depends on you, and you speak up early when something is off-track.

How We Operate

We are not chaotic.

We are not reactive.

We do not tolerate blame culture.

Our core values are not wall décor — they drive performance.

  • Continuous Improvement
We measure and refine. We look for more efficient ways to deliver.
  • Own It!
We take responsibility for deadlines and outcomes.
  • Do the Math
We are analytical problem-solvers who think before we draw.
  • We Not Me!
We collaborate above the line — no finger-pointing, no drama.

If you thrive in structured environments with clear expectations, you will thrive here.

  • A PE who wants true project ownership
  • An engineer who prefers systems over chaos

  • Engineers who miss deadlines and blame circumstances
  • Individuals who resist accountability or structured processes

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (Idaho or ability to obtain)
  • 5+ years of civil land development experience
  • Strong Civil 3D proficiency
  • Experience leading projects and reviewing junior staff
  • Strong communication with agencies and clients

What Success Looks Like (First Year)

  • Leading multiple subdivision projects independently
  • Maintaining high on-time delivery performance
  • Reducing avoidable rework
  • Earning trust with key developer clients
